Following in the footsteps of the Saw movies, Konami is looking to release the 2nd video game in the Saw world about a year after the release of the 1st game. The game is looking at an Autumn of 2010 release on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
You will of course be heading back into Jigsaw’s twisted world. The game is said to have new traps (as it should), more visceral combat (compared to the atrocious combat from 1?), and a new storyline that takes place between the 2nd and 3rd movie. You will play as Detective Tapp’s son Michael as he tries to figure out why his father died. Past the break for screens.
“The original SAW video game gave horror fans and gamers a new outlet to advance their favorite genre, but left them wanting more,” commented Martin Schneider, European Marketing & PR Director, Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. “SAW 2 will give it to them, but be careful for what you wish for! Our successful partnership with Lionsgate allows us to advance the survival horror genre, giving players the most intense look into the SAW universe ever.”
