So I know I’m totally late on this, but I figured I’d post about it anyhow because it looks like it could be incredible. Since the release of Batman Arkham Asylum had incredible success, I think it really opened up a superhero door. Instead of having games like X-Men Legends and those like it, we can have full on incredible games like Batman, but with other superheros such as Captain America, and so on.
The game will be set in the World War 2 era and Captain America like a badass will be fighting against the Hydra Army, Iron Cross and Red Skull. You of course will get to use his totally badass shield as a weapon and for defense. Check out screens past the break, and the game is looking to be released on the Nintendo Ds, Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3. No release date is known.
“Video game players the world over can now become Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Captain America,” said Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA Europe and SEGA America. “Captain America: Super Soldier puts players in the boots of the ultimate Super Soldier, wielding Captain America’s legendary shield. Working closely with Marvel ensures we’re delivering the caliber of product that gamers and comic fans deserve and it’s a partnership we’re proud of here at SEGA.”
