Japan’s top gaming magazine Famitsu hints at a new compilation called Resident Evil: Revival Selection that looks like it will include HD versions of Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica. Supposedly, there won’t be much, if any, additional content, but I wouldn’t mind playing both of them on my 360 with crisper visuals and (possibly) achievements. If this is true I only hope they tweak the controls in each game a bit, and specifically in Code Veronica. I’m sure many fans of the series could put up with them but if they’d like to open this up to more people, I feel this is a necessity.
According to Famitsu the collection will be available on both the 360 and PS3 so everyone has a chance to experience (or re-experience) these delicious games. Though no release date been confirmed yet and there’s always a chance the Revival Selection won’t make its way out of Japan. If it does, an HD Resident Evil 4 would probably be a big hit and I’d very much like the opportunity to dive into Code Veronica again. What about you?
[UPDATE] We now have scans of Famitsu’s Revival Selection coverage, check them out after the jump.
