Update: Just to clarify, this was an April Fool’s Day joke (As if you didn’t know this already).
Dead Island was only just revealed back in February but it would seem publisher Deep Silver definitely have plans for a sequel in the very near future. Our sources claim that Dead Island will lay the ground for its sequel, a project that’s supposedly a far more ambitious game. Apparently, after seeing the insane amount of hype the Dead Island’s trailer received when it went viral they already have a followup in the works with the tentative (or possibly final) title of Dead Island 2.
No details on whether or not Dead Island 2 will continue the story told in the first game, which I might add is still quite a ways from coming out, but I’m all for some more zombie action, so long as it’s good. What about you? Is this a little too soon to start talking about sequels for games that aren’t anywhere near coming out?
