What is guaranteed to be the series wettest installment yet, Silent Hill: Downpour is also the first game in the main series to depart from the linear storytelling. Instead, we’ll get side quests, and lots of ’em, to give us more thing to do outside of the main story. Soon after E3 GameSpot had the chance to sit down with Downpour’s producer Tomm Hulett to shed some light on how much time we can expect to be investing in the game.
If for some reason you’re not interested in the side quests the game will be similar to previous games in the series, in that it will take roughly 8-10 hours to complete. But if you like to explore every nook and cranny to get the most of your money, the game’s campaign can take upwards of 15-20 hours to beat, with all of the side quests. Head past the break for some brand new screenshots, I guarantee they won’t take that long too look at.
