I can’t say I’m surprised that Gearbox has officially confirmed Borderlands 2 for a release in 2012. You can sign me up right now, all this game needs to do is take everything the first game did and bring it to the next level. Borderlands had millions of guns, you say? Then Borderlands 2 should have billions. In the first game you couldn’t pass level 69? Well, in its sequel you should be able to reach 1,000. Obviously, neither of those will happen, though I can see a lvl 100 cap, but it’s fun to think of all the possibilities.
Not much about this game has been unveiled other than a wide release window (sometime after March of next year), the platforms it’ll be available on (PS3, 360, PC), and the fact that it’ll take us to “unexplored regions of planet Pandora, and introduce all-new characters, skills, environments, enemies, weapons and equipment.” That will soon change when Gearbox shows the game for the first time at Gamescom and PAX later this month.
