Fangoria got word this afternoon that Dimension Extreme has planned an October 21 release for a Three-Disc Collector’s Edition for Rob Zombie’s Halloween (review), which will contain Zombie’s all-new four-and-a-half-hour documentary about the making of the film. No other details have been revealed. After being committed for 17 years, Michael Myers, now a grown man and still very dangerous, is mistakenly released from the mental institution (where he was committed as a 10 year old) and he immediately returns to Haddonfield, where he wants to find his baby sister, Laurie. Anyone who crosses his path is in mortal danger.
If you think its a waste of space then why are you wasting your time to post a comment? like we need more comments hating on rob...if you thinks its a waste then dont post anything about it, not even your opinion. apparently you jsut want attention...youre not changing my mind i thought it was reat to see mike back on teh big screen....the original is still around...its not like rob erased the original from existence!
It's the internet. Do you expect no complaining?
Even YOU are complaining. Complaining about the complaining. There's no escaping it, so don't even try.
I actually really enjoyed this remake, and I'll be buying this. I just wish it was coming out before my birthday, because I already spent money on the friggin' two-disc before this was announced.
I love documentaries. And I love Halloween....I really loved Zombie's version because, like ichabodjstephens, I wanted to see Mike on the screen again...loved the background story and loved the new mask....I've got all the Halloween movies....including both theatrical and director's cut of Rob's version....can't wait to get this to add to my collection....just wish I could find the Producer's cut of Halloween 6, I hear it's better than the theatrical.
I still havent bough this fucking remake. I wanna add this to my collection even though I dont love this remake at all but just to own all the Halloween movies.
I don't know why people continue to complain about this movie. Believe it or not, it was barely a remake. They act as though that this can never redeem itself. Look, the original is STILL there so its ok to say this one wasn't that bad.
this is why I dont buy dvds when they come out. they put them out as fast as they can so they can keep blockbuster happy, then a year later after noobs have spent there hard earned money to get your product and support you. you fuck everyone by putting it out again, thus forcing you to either cough up mor money or own a infearior product.
If this came out to begin with, I would have bought it, but I'm not gonna bother. I already have the 2-Disc Edition, and this will probably have an outlandish price. I'll consider buying it in a couple years, after the price drops. (Thats how I got the 3-Disc "Hellboy" Director's Cut... When it came out, all the stores around me wanted $30 for it. So I waited, and a couple months ago, I got it for less than $9, brand new.)
Foghorne as said one of the smartest and truest things i have read on these forums, because too often than not that is the case(i.e. when are we going to get the fucking grindhouse boxset instead of shitty seperate ones?) but i will be buying this because i mistakenly bought the unrated version which due to just one very unneeded rape scene ruined the movie, im selling it on ebay search for it and buy it!
oh and i just bought that hellboy directors cut too maximummadness ( for all you who want it go to your closest walmart and it is only nine bucks !!!!!!
They should put the original (and only) Halloween on the 3rd disc so you can quickly get the images of that fecal soaked re-make outta yer' head. The best part was the credits, in my opinion. Donald Pleasence would roll over in his grave if he saw that schmuck trying to play HIS role. However, I did enjoy "Devil's Rejects". You can't improve on perfection Mr.Zombie. That film should never have been re-made, in my opinion. "We're all afraid of the dark inside ourselves"----Halloween II.
im gonna buy this only because i live in IRELAND and the only version of this that came out over here was a 1 disc edition of the unrated cut so ill buy it only for the special features
i was worried about this movie and i love the zombieman, but he did a freakin awesome job on this remake. i would love to see anyone of you do it any better than he did. ZOMBIE RULES!
Well, I went and picked up this 3 disc set and the making of was great. I really enjoyed it. Some pretty funny stuff and it's cool to watch how they do everything. I only have one complant. I wish they would have done a new cut of the film and added ALL the deleted scenes into the film. But all in all it was a very good doc. not AS good as Devil's Rejects but it was still really cool. Can't wait for Halloween 2........
