Every year horror has a new theme and what you can look forward to in 2009 is 3-D and New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures have slated Final Destination 4 for release on August 14, 2009. The film joins two other 3-D horror films, Lionsgate's My Bloody Valentine (January 23) and Dimension Films Piranha 3-D (July 24). David Ellis' FD4 kicks off when a teenager's premonition of a deadly racecar crash spares his life and those of a few lucky others. But death continues to stalk those who escaped it.
What's the point of making such a fuss over Final Destination being one of the first 3-d films and being announced first when the two other 3D horror flicks will be released months before it? I mean its still ULTRA cool but wouldn't the other 2 steal away a lot of their thunder? Will be awesome though, especially looking forward to Piranha 3D and Final Destination 4 in that order
i haven't seen the new kind of 3D they are using now a days but i'm definitely PSYCHED to see Aja's Piranha & My Bloody Valentine remake. i've never really been a fan of the Final's.
I saw the living dead 3-d crapola! What I meant by old school young sprout is that way back 3-d was a gimmick in films and now it's been dusted of for the kiddies to enjoy. i would like to see it really take off and be just a another crutch to market so-so films, I am all for the Pirannha flic with or with out 3-d, but milking one more redux just through 3-d at us is lame, Final Destonation 4 for example, with out the new 3-d no new fd flick. Even Godzillas getting in on it in Godzilla vs Deathla, a seqeul to Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster from the seventies by the original director of the 70's flick, Toho was going to retire Godzilla for 10 years or so but guess what? A new gimmick and convictions go out the window. So the flavor of the week will I am sure produce some really great stuff and a load of crap as well. Just wait till some one retools Super Dynamation.....
okay i saw two movies on space at an imax theatre using the new HD 3D format, and its absolutelly STUNNING. its PERFECT. icannot wait to see these movies with that same quality using 3D. just hope that the bluray release will be as good a quality as in theatres.
I don't freaking care if they make "Final Destination 27," I love these movies. They're so schlocky and fun. I really enjoyed the first two (the first one still freaks me out when I watch it!) and the 3rd was watchable. Here's hoping the 4th is good, especially with this nice little gimmick.
