Vanguard Cinema Announces ’99 Pieces’ and ‘Quench’
Vanguard Cinema has announced two upcoming indie horror titles that they’ll be giving a DVD release. First is Zack Parker’s QUENCH, which arrives on DVD October 28th. Check out the film’s official website for more. Arriving on DVD December 23rd is Anthony Falcon’s 99 PIECES, which comes in the vein of SAW. When Joshua Licet wakes up with his wife missing he must decide whether to lock himself in his house for forty days and 40 nights of torture or to leave her to die.
QUENCH: Photographed in the warm beauty of a Midwestern Autumn, QUENCH tells the story of Derik, a young man grieving over the recent death of a loved one.
After finding no one to turn to, Derik decides to abandon his current life at college to visit Jason. Although best friends since grade school, the two have not seen or spoken to one another in three years. Once they have reunited, Derik soon realizes that Jason is no longer the friend he once knew. Not only has he dramatically changed his external appearance, but he is now a part of a mysterious group he calls “Family.” A truly unique, stylish and compelling film, QUENCH is sure to challenge, unsettle, and enlighten any audience that is curious to step deep inside of a world that lives right outside their peripheral view.

‘Scary Movie’ Heads to Blu-ray in September After $224 Million Box Office Win
Over one month later, Scary Movie is still playing in theaters and still making money, with the franchise’s brand new installment slashing into $224.5 million at the worldwide box office.
In fact, the Scary Movie franchise has now collectively passed $1 billion in theaters!
Scary Movie is headed to Digital at home soon, and a listing on Amazon this week indicates that the film will be making its way to Blu-ray and DVD this coming September.
The film is listed for DVD and Blu-ray release on September 22, 2026.
We don’t have any additional release information at this time. Stay tuned.
Marlon Wayans (“Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) reunite for the new Scary Movie, with the cast also including Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Jon Abrahams, Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, and Felissa Rose.
Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe…
Scary Movie will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t. A whole lot has changed in the horror genre since the Wayans Brothers were in charge of the franchise; their involvement ended with Scary Movie 2 back in 2001!
Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directed the new Scary Movie.
