Will ‘Eve’ Kick Cassie Hack’s Cute Lil’ Butt?
Hey Relativity/Rogue Pictures, what the f*ck are you waiting for? While you’re sitting around letting Hack/Slash – Todd Lincoln’s long-delayed comic book adaptation of the same name – collect dust, an indie company by the name of Ratio Pictures is ripping off your idea and actually making the movie. You better hope it’s not good. For everyone else, read on for details on Eve, and let the race for who makes a better movie begin.
Indie banner Ratio Pictures is set to produce “Eve,” the story of a woman who tracks down and kills supernatural serial killers.
Brian Metcalf, Karoline Kautz and Elaine Hendrix will produce with Hugh Edwards exec producing.
Hendrix (pictured right) will also star along with Jordan Matthews. The script was penned and will be directed by Metcalf with principal photography scheduled to start next year.
Metcalf recently produced, directed and wrote “Fading of the Cries,” a supernatural action feature about a young man who must protect a teenage girl and a magic necklace from demonic forces.
“Fading,” which is in post-production, stars Brad Dourif, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Mackenzie Rosman, Hallee Hirsh and Jessica Morris along with Hendrix and Matthews. Watch for more on this as it comes in.

‘Drop’ – Violett Beane Joins the Cast of Christopher Landon’s New Thriller
Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.
The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.
Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.
Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”
Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.
Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.
THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
