Genre vet Danielle Harris has scored the starring role in Zebediah de Soto’s Night of the Living Dead: Origins 3D, a prequel of sorts to George A. Romero’s classic zombie film that started it all. “All you’re good luck wishes worked! Guess who’s gonna be Barbara?!,” Harris tells fans on Twitter adding, “Michael, vamps, and now zombies!!” On the story front, De Soto, who wrote the script with David R. Schwartz, wants to update the tale partially by bringing out the characters’ backstories and make what he called “an American-style anime.” Harris is also starring in Stake Land and can be seen in both of Rob Zombie’s Halloween films.
