Lionsgate Discovers ‘The Vatican Tapes’
With Paranormal Activity performing well and Eli Roth’s Cotton going into production soon, it looks as if Blair Witch inspired films are still hotter than ever (shocking considering it’s been 10 years already). Bloody Disgusting got exclusive word on a new horror film in development over at Lionsgate entitled The Vatican Tapes. From a screenplay by Chris Borrelli, a tape is leaked from the Vatican that displays an exorcism that goes horribly wrong. It’s said to take on attributes from Blair Witch and REC. Gary Lucchesi (the Underworld franchise, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Pathology, The Midnight Meat Train) is producing.
