Something quite random and pretty damn cool was posted over at Ads of the World. The website displayed an outdoor billboard that was erected to promote an airing of Mary Harron’s American Psycho, the classic Brett Easton Ellis adaptation that starred Christian Bale, Jared Leto, Reese Witherspoon and Bill Sage. The billboard features a riff on the infamous “business card” scene, “The Perfect Billboard. Eggshell white with romalian type. Nice. Raised lettering, a subtle 7 inch bone border, and just look at the tasteful thickness of the headline. All perched on four evenly spaced 3.2 metre powder coated stanchions. My god, it even has a watermark.” As brilliant as it might appear to a fanboy such as myself, do they really think that people passing by are actually going to understand what they’re looking at? Whatever. Cool stuff.
