While walking the red carpet of this evening’s Academy Awards, Amanda Seyfried revealed to E! that she will in fact be starring in Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke’s The Girl With the Red Riding Hood, David Leslie Johnson’s gothic retelling of the “Little Red Riding Hood” story with a teenage love triangle at its center. It was rumored back in February that the Jennifer’s Body star was the front-runner to star in Warner Bros. Pictures’ re-imagining of the classic fairy tale. Johnson recently penned Orphan for Warners, and is developing both The Colony and a remake of the Aussie thriller Lake Mungo.
