Below you’ll find a really, really, really awesome clip from the forthcoming release of Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy, the definitive behind-the-scenes retrospective on the twenty-five year history of the horror epic A Nightmare on Elm Street. The clip brings us back to 1983 when they were filming Elm Street as we get to see early make-up tests with Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger! With the remake arriving in theaters at month’s end, Never Sleep Again hits stores on May 4th.
Exploring the creation of Freddy Krueger and the impact the series continues to have on the horror genre and pop culture, `Never Sleep Again’ is produced by Daniel Farrands and Thommy Hutson, written by Thommy Hutson, and directed by Daniel Farrands and Andrew Kasch. Actress and narrator of the documentary Heather Langenkamp, along with Camelot Chairman Robert Atwell and Camelot President of Distribution Jamie Thompson serve as Executive Producers.

“Freddy Krueger is a household horror name, and with the Nightmare on Elm Street reboot produced by Michael Bay,” Thompson stated, “this is the perfect time to release a behind the scenes look at the creation of a horror staple that many will be intrigued to see.”

`Never Sleep Again’ steps out from behind the thrilling nightmare and explores the creation of Freddy Krueger and what it takes to bring the worst nightmares to life. There are over 100 interviews from cast and crew, including directors Wes Craven, Renny Harlin, and Ronny Yu, as well as talent John Saxon, rockstar Alice Cooper, Monica Keena (Freddy vs Jason), and Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund.

The documentary is currently in post-production and is to be released in the US this spring.
