Paramount’s looking for more monsters, setting up an untitled horror project penned by Mark L. Smith (Vacancy, The Hole 3D) with Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form along with Room 101’s Steven Schneider. Per the usual, the logline’s under wraps other than the story being in the vein of I Am Legend, Aliens and The Descent. Bay, Fuller and Form produced A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th for New Line and recently entered a new first-look deal at Par, where it’s developing several projects including a remake of Fred Dekker’s Monster Squad. Schneider exec produced Paranormal Activity for Paramount and is prepping the sequel with Jason Blum and Akiva Goldsman. He’s also producing Paranormal director Oren Peli’s follow-up feature Area 51 for Paramount.
