The insane Image Comics series, Cowboy Ninja Viking, scribed by AJ Lieberman and Riley Rossmo, finally has a director attached to the project under Universal Pictures. That man is none other than Marc Forster, director of Quantum of Solace and the upcoming World War Z adaptation. The rights to the film were originally owned by Disney, but that fell through for one reason or another. More details below. Read on for the skinny
For those of you who have not read the comic, you should. It is about a psychotherapist who seeks out special patients with multiple personality disorder in order to form a special squad of assassins known as The Triplets. Naturally, when you have a bunch of nut jobs doing important intel work, shit goes awry and they must call on Cowboy Ninja Viking, the nuttiest assassin of all to clean up the mess. If you like either cowboys, ninjas, or vikings, then you will enjoy this one.
More news to come…hopefully soon.
