Deadlight Promises Cinematic Puzzle Platforming. But Will It Be Scary?

New game developers Tequila Works have been hard at work on their 1st game, Deadlight. Just announced Tequila Works has partnered with Microsoft Studios as they will be publishing the game exclusively for the Xbox Live Arcade this summer (hopefully). Tequila Works was started in 2009 by Rubio Munárriz and Luz Sancho Rodríguez, 2 veterans of the gaming industry. Working on such games as: Commandos and Motorstorm series, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Diablo III, Heavy Rain, and Overlord II. I know Adam is thinking “Why would they leave Diablo III?!”

“In an apocalyptic world where there is no reason to exist, a man crosses the American west coast. Surviving is much more than a daily routine in this original cinematic puzzle platformer.” From the screens you can check out past the break, the game definitely looks creepy. I’m hoping it will fall into the survival horror category, but it looks like a lot of games that have come out recently for XBLA, 2D sidecroller esq. Though it’s still too early to know for sure.
