Nick Cave Doing Rewrites on ‘The Crow’ Redo?

Producer Ed Pressman recently told TheWrap that none other than iconic musician and acclaimed screenwriter Nick Cave has come on to rewrite the script for The Crow, their redo of the live-action adaptation from 1994. The last we had heard, director Stephen Norrington (Blade) had finished a “terrific” screenplay that would take the Relativity project to “Detroit or Pittsburgh or something like that.” TheWrap notes that Cave made his screenwriting debut with John Hillcoat’s 1988 prison drama Ghosts … of the Civil Dead, but impressed the masses with The Proposition. Will Eric Draven fly again? If not, James O’Barr’s legacy lives on through Brandon Lee, who died during filming of the iconic comic film from 16 years ago.
