This New Fear Factory Song Sample Is Enough To Make Me Riot

Okay, look here, there’s a new Fear Factory album coming out by the name of The Industrialist. Some Fear Factory purists are whining that it’s not the real deal because the only original members are singer Burton C. Bell and guitarist Dino Cazares (Gene Hoglan is drummer and Matt DeVries is on bass). You know what I say? As long as it makes me want to punch holes in concrete walls, I don’t really care.

Well, to whet the appetite of eager fans, the guys have put out a 49-second sample of their first single, Recharger. The sample proves that the band is fully capable of putting out brutal industrial metal which mixes in melody that takes full advantage of Bell’s unique voice. Check it out below and weigh in with your thoughts!

The Industrialist track listing:

01. The Industrialist
02. Recharger

Sweet! I really don’t give a fuck when some fans wine about them not been “the real” Fear Factory because of the current line up. As far as I’m concerned, since they got Dino back and Gene Hoglan in with them they got seriously up-graded and are making the best music they ever have since, ‘Demanufacture’.
‘Obsolete’ is a great album, but, ‘Demanufacture’ always had that edge to it and they really found their own style with it, I thought.

Sounds killer, looking forward to it!

Why would anyone complain about Gene Hoglan being in a band? The man’s got more credential that just about anyone in the biz. I mean have you seen the list of bands he’s played with? He didnt get those gigsbecause he sucks. They still have Burton and Dino as well. Thats the heart and blood of Fear Factory and I trust them enough to choose talented people to play with. They know what they’re doing. New track sounds killer.

Yeah FF lineup has been chop n change over the last few albums and while Dino’s sound carried over after he ‘left’ i somehow prefer it when he is behind the riffs.

Definitely looking forward to this album. I don’t care about internal band drama, but they’ve had some good line-ups the last few albums, and even the worst record had good songs (I think Digimortal/Transgression were weak points). I’ll follow them with whoever is playing with them at the moment. And the album cover is gonna be another addition to my FF tattoo. \m/ Loved the sample and can’t wait to see what the new story is about – loved Obsolete’s story.

  • Very interesting info!Perfect just what I was looking for!
