Super-Fun New ‘Saw 3D’ Trailer!

Published

on

I love the Saw films, but I’ve never been a fan of their trailers – they never really show anything! The new trailer for Saw 3D isn’t exactly a complete overhaul of the approach, it still shows a lot more than usual, and more importantly, promises a fun 3D experience the same way that the spots for My Bloody Valentine did, with a 3D-glasses wearing crowd being menaced by villains (and machinery) from the film. Everyone swears this is the last Saw film, and it looks like they brought their A-game for the occasion. You can find out for yourself on October 29th, but in the meantime, whet your appetite with the trailer below!
WARNING: Potential major spoilers within. Those who have avoided news about certain returning cast members will want to steer clear. The trailer also seems to suggest that a long-running character will find themselves in a trap for the first time. You’ve been warned!!

Thanks to ‘JayKah’ for the heads up!

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
