Full Trailer, Poster for ‘My Super Psycho Sweet 16 Part 2’!

Last year MTV shocked me with My Super Psycho Sweet 16, their made-for-TV slasher that took to the Rollardome and blasted me with violence. Maybe it was the directing by The Signal‘s Jacob Gentrey, or maybe it was just that damn good, either way MTV is already prepping to premiere My Super Psycho Sweet 16 Part 2 this October. This morning an official poster was discovered alongside a second full trailer. The slasher airs on October 22.
Having fled the bloodbath at the Rollerdome in My Super Psycho Sweet 16, Skye goes in search of the mother who abandoned her as a baby, a woman she barely remembers. Her journey takes her to the quiet town of Mill Basin, where she finds her mother, Carolyn, now married to a wealthy real estate developer. Taken in by Carolyn and Skye’s half-sister, Alex, Skye believes she’s finally found a safe haven. As the bond between Skye and Alex grows, Skye is introduced to Alex’s manipulative best friend, Zoe, and her dream guy, wanna-be DJ, James (aka Jams). Despite Zoe’s suspicions, Skye attempts to keep the truth about her father a secret, even from Alex.

But Skye’s past is about to catch up with her.

Brigg is unable to forget Skye and convinces Derek to help him find her. And they’re not the only ones on her trail. Charlie Rotter has followed Skye to Mill Basin, and the corpses are starting to pile up. When Alex throws a party on the same night as Skye’s 16th birthday, her weekend rager becomes the terrifying setting for a Rotter family reunion and one killer party!

Filming is underway on The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man for Universal and Blumhouse, which will be howling its way into theaters on January 17, 2025.

Deadline reports that Matilda Firth (Disenchanted) is the latest actor to sign on, joining Christopher Abbott (Poor Things),  Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel), and Sam Jaeger.

The project will mark Whannell’s second monster movie and fourth directing collaboration with Blumhouse Productions (The Invisible Man, Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3).

Wolf Man stars Christopher Abbott as a man whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator.

Writers include Whannell & Corbett Tuck as well as Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo.

Jason Blum is producing the film. Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell are executive producers. Wolf Man is a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production.

In the wake of the failed Dark Universe, Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man has been the only real success story for the Universal Monsters brand, which has been struggling with recent box office flops including the comedic Renfield and period horror movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Giving him the keys to the castle once more seems like a wise idea, to say the least.
