Turning a comic book into a TV series is no easy task. In this new behind-the-scenes video from AMC, Executive Producers Frank Darabont, Gale Anne Hurd and Robert Kirkman discuss how they managed to manifest their ambitious vision of The Walking Dead during its long journey from page to screen. The series itself premieres on Halloween at 10PM | 9C. How well does it translate? Well, according to the comic’s creator, Robert Kirkman: “If Jesus came down and said, ‘From now on you can fly,’ that’s the only thing that would top this.” The project is set among a group of zombie survivors of an apocalypse who are led by a police officer, Rick Grimes, in search of a safe place to live.
