Gear Up for ‘The Walking Dead’ Premiere!

Published

We’re excited. Maybe a bit too excited! As the best Halloween treat of all, AMC and Fearfest are bringing us the television premiere event of the year: Frank Darabont’s The Walking Dead (review). The live-action adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s astounding comic series is set among a group of zombie survivors of an apocalypse who are led by a police officer, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), in search of a safe place to live. To get you all pumped for this weekend’s premiere, we’ve got everything you need beyond the break.
“The Walking Dead” tells the story of the weeks and months that follow a pandemic zombie apocalypse. County Sheriff Rick Grimes travels with his family and a small group of survivors, constantly in search of a safe and secure home. But the constant pressure of fighting off death on a daily basis takes a heavy toll, sending many to the lowest depths of human cruelty. As Rick struggles to keep his family alive, he will discover that the overwhelming fear of the survivors can be far more dangerous than the mindless walkers roaming the earth.

“The Walking Dead” is playing as part of AMC’s incredible AMC Fearfest that continues through Sunday, October 31, culminating with the 90-minute world premiere of “The Walking Dead” on Sunday, October 31 at 10/9c (it will also be available in iTunes).
