Believe it or not, it’s been 15 years since the last Howling sequel, 1995′s New Moon Rising. A remake of the original is threatened from time to time, but otherwise it seemed the series had finally been silver bulleted. Not so fast. Today, Anchor Bay announced that they have acquired distribution for all English speaking territories for the appropriately titled The Howling: Reborn, which is currently in post-production. I assume it will have no connection to any of the other sequels, not that I can blame them based on the ones I’ve seen. They put the “The” back in the title though, so there’s something. Joe Nimziki wrote and directed the flick, and according to IMDb, Erin Agostino is in the cast. Full press release, including a truly wretched description (“Twilight with bite!”) is below.
