Local Scares The Teens In Latest ‘The Cabin in the Woods’ Clipage

In theaters this Friday is Lionsgate’s high-concept slasher The Cabin in the Woods (review), directed by Cloverfield writer Drew Goddard, and penned by “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” creator Joss Whedon.

With only a few days until release, Lionsgate has given Bloody a new look at the film featuring a cliche local being rule to our group of teens. We’ve also updated it with an attack-feuled look at the film.

In the slasher, “A group of friends at a cabin retreat scratch the surface of something so massive and horrific that they can only begin to fathom it as time quickly runs out. If you think you know this story, think again. ‘Cabin in the Woods’ is a mind-blowing horror film that turns the genre inside out.

Enjoy a slew of hi-res imagery, with the two clips and trailer inside.

I HOPE this movie is as good as everybody is hyping it to be. As I mentioned before, BD(among other horror sites) were hyping Drag Me to Hell just as much(saying it was going to be the best horror movie since sliced bread) and that movie was mediocre. Seeing all the strange themes, I just hope the “twist” is not something like it REALLY being set in the year 3000, on a space colony where the prime means of entertainment is to implant false memories(movie character personalities) into willing participants who want to star in their own movies(and all the characters, in reality, all different people who all paid and signed up to star in a horror movie). By the end, you find out they aren’t really dead, and that each get a complimentary DVD(or Holographic disc-whatever they use to record movies in the DISTANT future) to show their friends and family. LOL… I should write that movie!!!!
