Dino De Laurentiis Co. Revs Up ‘Maximum Overdrive’ Redo
In the same article announcing a remake of Firestarter it was revealed that Dino De Laurentiis Co. is also aiming at creating a fresh adaptation of Stephen King’s Maximum Overdrive. The 1986 film, also directed by King, tells the story of a group of people try to survive when machines start to come alive and become homicidal. Emilio Estevez, Pat Hingle and Laura Harrington all starred. Watch the original’s trailer inside.
