Revolver Acquires UK Rights To UK Horror ‘When the Lights Went Out’

Revolver Entertainment (V/H/S) has acquired UK rights from SC Films International for Pat Holden’s UK-set horror drama When The Lights Went Out. An autumn release is planned, says Screen Daily.

The story is set in Yorkshire in 1974, when The Maynard Family, Len (Steve Waddington), Jenny (Kate Ashfield) and their daughter Sally (Tasha Connor), move into their new family home, only to discover that the house already inhabited by a “presence” of a malign nature.

Pat Holden directs the story, based on true events. Producers are Bil Bungay (Moon) and Deepak Nayar (Tucker And Dale Vs Evil). David Mutch executive produces.

The film had its world premiere in Rotterdam. We’ll update as soon as a U.S. distributor is locked down.

Love the producers and poster, but this looks boring and unoriginal to me. Who knows though, the British tend to surprise.

    this looks boring.

  • i actually like the trailer. I looks like a traditional ghost story and it could be really good. Also i love the poster, it’s really freaking disturbing.

  • lame lowest-budget Amityville rip-off
