I know we just posted a Machete Kills story about an hour ago, but this is totally worth its own piece.
Even though Mel Gibson is one of the biggest turds in Hollywood history, the psychopath is one hell of an actor (maybe the madness spawns the brilliance?). Thus, having him return to his action-packed roots is nothing short of exhilarating. Deadline reports that Gibson is now in serious discussions to play a supporting role in Machete Kills, the Robert Rodriguez-directed sequel that will bring Danny Trejo back as the blade wielding former Federale title character. Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez are still in talks to return as well.
The 2010 film starred Danny Trejo as Machete, a Mexican ex-Federale with a gift for wielding a blade, who hides out as a day laborer, and is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator. In the sequel to be released by Fox, “Machete is drafted by the US government to track an arms dealer through Mexico before he can launch a rocket.”
