I personal hated Kill Buljo, and was one of the few who disliked Dead Snow, so it shouldn’t be surprising that I’m not exactly screaming in excitement for Tommy Wirkola’s English-language debut Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters. Even beyond that, it looks as if the Norwegian director is taking his “talents” to TV.
Announced this morning is “Hell Fjord,” a new horror comedy series that follows Salmander, an unorthodox policeman who is banished to a small city in Finland. There he finds a truly bizarre village that may actually be the gateway to Hell.
A start date is scheduled for May with a release planned for 2012.
