I seriously can’t wait for pilot season to be over and done with. All of these new horror series have taken over the front page of BD. Still, it’s exciting how many new genre shows are going to kick off this coming year.
One of the cooler ones is “Grimm, “a fantastical cop drama in which characters from Grimm’s Fairy Tales.
TV Line reports that Kate Burton (a.k.a. Mer’s late mom on “Grey’s Anatomy”) has joined the cast of NBC’s genre drama. Created by David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, “Grimm” revolves around Nick (David Giuntoli), a cop who starts to see some humans for what they actually are — animals/beasts — and realizes it’s his destiny to protect society from them.
Burton will play Nick’s aunt, who possesses some dark secrets of her own. Despite being billed simply as a “special guest star” in the pilot, there’s a strong chance Burton’s character will recur — should Grimm be picked up to series.
The cast also includes Silas Weir Mitchell (“Prison Break”), Russell Hornsby (“Lincoln Heights”) and Bitsie Tulloch (“Quarterlife”).
