I’d love to see a studio churn out a sweet witch-themed movie, and I think Summit Entertainment is headed in the right direction…
Crazies director Breck Eisner is in early talks to get behind the camera for The Last Witch Hunter, a pitch from Priest writer Cory Goodman, writes Deadline. It was originally bought with the attachment of Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov, who has been preoccupied with Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. He will still produce.
“The protagonist is one of the last remaining witch hunters, a breed that keeps the population of witches and warlocks in check. They are about to repopulate in a major way unless he can stop them.”
So long as it doesn’t turn out as bad as Season of the Witch.
