Infected Violence in Second ‘Rabies’ Poster’

It was just announced out of Cannes that Image Entertainment has snapped up U.S. rights to Israeli horror film Rabies (review) from XYZ Films. Mongrel Media also nabbed Canadian rights to the pic, which is the directorial debut of Navot Papushado and Aharon Keshales, who also penned the script. The deal includes a theatrical release.

Rabies, produced by United Channels Movies, “follows a group of teens at a deserted nature reserve drawn into a whirlwind of misunderstandings and violence.” It toplines Lior Ashkenazi and Ania Bukstein.

The pic premiered in competition at Tribeca last month in the Cinemania section, check out a second domestic poster inside.
