Fresh from the Comic-Con preview of the sizzling hot horror anthology Chillerama, 2001 Maniacs and Driftwood director Tim Sullivan stopped by to introduce exclusive conceptual art from his next project, Hellions, a live-action ’80s horror throwback described as “a cross between ‘Halloween’ and ‘Juno’.”
Sullivan will serve as Executive Producer on the project, which will be helmed by longtime associate and co-producer, Gavin Heffernan. Written by Canadian screenwriter Pascal Trottier, “ ‘Hellions’ depicts a night of terror in the life of a seventeen-year-old girl who must defend herself from an onslaught of hellish creatures on Halloween night.” Project will be produced by Paul Lenart’s Storyteller Pictures, in conjunction with The Clubhouse, Sullivan’s newly-formed production company.
This will be the second project for The Clubhouse, the first being One For the Road, the Stephen King vampire short directed by Paul Ward, starring Reggie Bannister (Phantasm) and 2001 Maniacs alum Adam Robitel, with a score performed by Chris Alexander. Hellions is scheduled to begin production later this year.
