‘Dexter’ Psycho Heads to Barnabas’ Castle for ‘Dark Shadows’

Jonny Lee Miller – who has a strong arc on the last season of “Dexter” – joins previously announced Johnny Depp, Jackie Earle Haley, Bella Heathcote, Cloe Moretz, Eva Green, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Thomas McDonell and Gulliver McGrath in Tim Burton’s now filming Dark Shadows, says THR.

The Warner Bros.-backed big-screen take on the 1960s cult gothic vampire TV soap opera is shooting in the British capital and at Pinewood Studios.

Burton’s adaptation of the TV show – reported to be a shared favorite of the director and long-time collaborator Depp – is penned by Seth Grahame-Smith based on the TV series created by Dan Curtis.

Depp stars as Barnabas Collins, a self-loathing vampire who returns to his human roots in search of his lost love. Thomas McDonell will play the young Collins in the film arriving in theaters May 11, 2012.
