If the only reason you were planning on catching Apollo 18 this weekend was to catch a glimpse of Piranha 3DD then you need to cancel your plans. Also, if you’re one of these people, good look making new plans! Pro-tip: Never pay money to see an advertisement.
I loved Piranha 3D and am totally into adding the extra D to that equation, but it looks like I’ll have to wait a little bit longer for a glimpse at John Gulager’s followup to last year’s master class in synchronized swimming.
According to the Piranha 3DD Facebook page, “We apologize for not clarifying on the previous post! The PIRANHA 3DD trailer will NOT be before APOLLO 18 in theaters! We just wanted all you PIRANHA fans to get excited about one of our other movies! Sorry for the confusion!”
Yesterday the page read, “Dying to see PIRANHA 3DD in all its horror glory? Check out the horrifically epic Apollo 18 this weekend!” I suppose making assumptions off yesterday’s quote leaves room for a margin of error, but I leave it up to you to decide if these clowns were intentionally jacking us around or not.
Regardless of when the trailer is issued, Piranha 3DD is scheduled to hit theaters in its entirety on November 23rd.
