Aaron Poole, who in recent years has taken the independent film industry by storm with fierce character portrayals in such festival favorites as Circumstance (Sundance ’09) and Small Town Murder Songs (TIFF ’09), has signed on for the lead role in award-winning director Rodrigo Gudiño’s feature film debut The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh, currently in pre-production.
Poole plays Leon Leigh, an antiques collector who inherits a house from his deceased mother only to discover that she had been living in a shrine devoted to a mysterious cult of angels. Once there he begins to suspect that the forces that drove his mother to suicide may still be lurking within the house.
The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh commences shooting in October in Toronto in one of the city’s most unusual homes and best kept secrets, and will feature cinematography by Derek Rogers (Cube, Resident Evil: Apocalypse) and FX work by Anthony Burns (MTV).
