Paramount has acquired an untitled project that will team screenwriter Billy Ray with JJ Abrams and his Bad Robot banner. Deadline reports that Ray and Abrams hatched the pitch together, and that it’s a mystery adventure. Being that Bad Robot has always nestled close to the genre, we’ll pay attention until it’s officially announced. The last two secret projects were Cloverfield and Super 8.

Lionsgate has bought feature rights to the “Chaos Walking” young adult novel trilogy by Patrick Ness, reports Variety. “The stories are set in a dystopian future with humans colonizing a distant earth-like planet. When an infection called the Noise suddenly makes all thought audible, privacy vanishes in an instant and in the ensuing chaos, a corrupt autocrat threatens to take control of the human settlements and wage war with the indigenous alien race.

The first photos from The Ghost of Goodnight Lane have been posted over at the film’s official Facebook. There’s literally nothing to see other than a small shot of Lacey Chabert in the Alin Bijan-directed pic also starring Billy Zane, Danielle Harris, Matt Dallas, Christine Quinn and Richard Tyson. “When the staff inside a renovated film studio finds a co-worker dead one morning, the pieces of a forty year puzzle add up to an angry ghost who has let the last person step inside her house. But will they ever get out alive?

Those of you who missed the premiere of ‘Dexter” last night on Showtime, it was already better than most of last season. The cabler is so confident in the first episode that they’ve posted in online in its entirety! Watch it below.

It’s been a year since last season’s shocking and heartbreaking conclusion, and mild mannered criminologist-cum-grisly serial killer Dexter Morgan has come to terms with who he is. But his existence is shattered when he crosses paths with an enemy unlike any he’s faced before. A delusional religious zealot with unflinching convictions, this new adversary soon draws Dexter into a dangerous game that could well end in disaster.
