Javier Bardem Checking Into ‘Hotel Transylvania’

Industry buzz comes our way that Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men, Bond 23) is in talks to star is Sony Screen Gems’ Hotel Transylvania, which will be helmed by Genndy Tartakovsky. Adam Sandler was cast back in July as the voice of Count Dracula.

In the story, a sort of “Romeo and Juliet” with monsters, Simon Van Helsing — the youngest in a long line of monster hunters — falls in love with Dracula’s daughter. Upon the discovery that they are enemies, the couple attempt to bring peace between the monsters and humans.

Screen Gems hopes to check you in on September 21, 2012.
