Theatrical Trailer for ‘The Divide’ Explodes Online!
From Frontier(s) director Xavier Gens comes the new post-apocalyptic thriller, The Divide (review), which blasts into theaters January 13 from Anchor Bay Films.
This afternoon Yahoo! is hosting the official theatrical trailer that opens with a teardrop and ends with a (big) bang. The lucky ones died in the blast…
In this graphic and violent, post-apocalyptic thriller starring Michael Biehn, Milo Ventimiglia, Rosanna Arquette, Courtney B. Vance and Lauren German, “nine strangers–all tenants of a New York high rise apartment–escape a nuclear attack by hiding out in the building’s bunker-like basement. Trapped for days underground with no hope for rescue, and only unspeakable horrors awaiting them on the other side of the bunker door, the group begins to descend into madness, each turning on one another with physical and psycho-sexual torment. As supplies dwindle, and tensions flare, and they grow increasingly unhinged by their close quarters and hopelessness, each act against one another becomes more depraved than the next. While everyone in the bunker allows themselves to be overcome by desperation and lose their humanity, one survivor holds onto a thin chance for escape even with no promise of salvation on the outside.”

Adam Wingard’s ‘Onslaught’ Receives ‘R’ Rating for Strong Bloody Violence and Sexual Material
Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The Guest) is getting back to his roots with the A24 movie Onslaught, and the film has received an ‘R’ rating from the MPA this week.
Releasing in theaters on September 4, Adam Wingard’s Onslaught is Rated ‘R’ for “Strong bloody violence, some gore, sexual material/nudity, and language.”
Watch the previously released Onslaught trailer below.
The duo behind The Guest, director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett, are re-teaming for the upcoming Onslaught, which stars Adria Arjona in the leading role.
Here’s the synopsis: “When a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers break loose in the desert, a badass Army sniper must unleash hell to protect her young daughter.”
Rebecca Hall (The Night House, Godzilla x Kong) and Dan Stevens (The Guest) also star in Adam Wingard’s upcoming new movie Onslaught alongside Michael Biehn, Reginald VelJohnson, Eric Wareheim, Drew Starkey, and Alex “Poatan” Pereira.
Wingard has spent the past several years making Hollywood blockbusters including Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and the idea behind Onslaught is to get back to his filmmaking roots. Onslaught looks very much in line with Wingard’s fan favorite The Guest, so much so that fans have been speculating that it’s set in the very same universe.
Dan Stevens starred alongside Maika Monroe in 2014 action-thriller The Guest. He played a mysterious ex-soldier with a secret agenda who wreaks havoc on a small town.
At the very least, The Guest and Onslaught look to be cut from the same cloth.
And yes, Dan Stevens is in both of them!
