[News Bites] AFM Edition: ‘Tasmanian Devils’, ‘Ghostquake’, ‘Arachnoquake’, ‘Spree’ and ‘Adopting Terror’

From Echo Bridge Entertainment comes Tasmanian Devils, a new SyFy original movie that’s in pre-production without a director attached. In the film “A group of extreme sports enthusiasts set out on an adventure and are attacked by a pack of Tasmanian devils who escaped from a team of researchers after their plane crashes in the forest.

Also from Echo Bridge Entertainment comes Ghostquake, which begins “When an earthquake opens a time capsule, the spirits of five vengeful ghosts are unleashed and it takes the ultimate sacrifice to make them disappear for good.

Spider are all the rage (to my horror) as Echo Bridge Entertainment has announced Arachnoquake as well, obviously hoping to make a quick buck on another piece of crap direct-to-disc title. “After earthquakes ravage a small town, dozens of locals fall victim to a previously unknown species of deadly albino spiders. Despite their best efforts, spiders swarm out of the earthquake opened fissures and infest the town.

Maya Entertainment Group has announced Spree, which will be directed by Tommy O’Haver and star Catalina Sandino Moreno and Hugh Dancy. Now in pre-production, “A would-be groom turns his bachelor party into a one-man killing spree. And captures it all on his Flip video camera.

The Asylum is in pre on Adopting Terror, which follow “Tim and Cheryl Broadbent are excited to finally adopt Mona, a beautiful baby girl. But when the baby’s biological father starts stalking them, Tim and Cheryl’s life becomes a nightmare.

Lastly is a movie that we’ve reported on multiple times, Creep Van (trailer), which stars Brian Kolodzie, Angelina Armani and Collin Bernsen. Directed by Scott W. Mckinlay, When Campbell, a vehicle-less 20-something slacker, innocently makes the mistake of answering a FOR SALE sign placed on a dilapidated van, suspense and action take over as he is suddenly caught-up in a deadly game of cat and mouse that puts everyone close to him in mortal danger.”

You’ll find art for most inside.
