Bloody Disgusting received exclusive word that Amy Smart (pictured inside) and Ryan Kwanten (above) are both in talks to land lead roles in CBS Films’ 7500 (formerly Flight 7500), the claustrophobic thriller to be directed by Takashi Shimizu (The Grudge, Marebito).
The project’s based on a pitch from Shimizu and “is set on a transpacific airliner from Los Angeles to Tokyo where the passengers encounter what seems to be a supernatural force.”
Smart would play a passenger
flight attendant “Laura Baxter” if cast. She has starred in genre films such as The Butterfly Effect, Seventh Moon and Mirrors. Kwanten is coming off “True Blood” and also Joe Lynch’s The Knights of Badassdom. He also toplined Saw director James Wan’s Dead Silence.
