The casting continues to explode as Jamie Chung (Sucker Punch, The Hangover Part II), Christian Serratos (The Twilight Saga) and Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloween) have signed on to co-star in Takashi Shimizu’s (The Grudge) high flying thriller 7500. Nicky Whelan was announced this morning (alongside this mouth-watering image).
Written by Craig Rosenberg (“Lost”) and produced by Taka Ichise (The Grudge) and Roy Lee (Godzilla, The Ring), 7500 follows a group of passengers who encounter whatappears to be a supernatural force while on a transpacific flight. It will arrive in theaters August 31, 2012, the same day as Lionsgate’s Possession.
Chung will play Suzy Lee, a newly-engaged flight attendant on Vista Pacific Flight 7500 while Serratos will co-star as Raquel Mendoza, who boards the plane after sharing a secret with her boyfriend. Taylor-Compton is set to play Jacinta Beckett, who has a unique perspective on death. They join previously announced cast members Leslie Bibb, Ryan Kwanten and Amy Smart (Nov. 1).
