TV: ‘Harold & Kumar 3D’ Director Shoots Pilot ‘Zombies & Cheerleaders’

A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas director Todd Strauss-Schulson must be a huge horror fan. Just the other week he was attached to New Line Cinema’s Final Girls, about a girl sucked into her mother’s slasher film where she must battle the film’s infamous killer.

Bloody Disgusting got word this morning that he’s also developing a TV series and will direct the pilot episode of “Zombies & Cheerleaders”, which go behind cameras this coming January.

The coming of age series will play on the social circles of teens and how they attempt to fit in. The lead character is Zed, a zombie, who is madly in love with a cheerleader named Addison. The entire series is based around this unlikely romance. Joseph Raso and David Light penned the pilot.

Get a kick out of some audition footage after the break.
