Fans of The Walking Dead are sure in for a treat. Today, Telltale Games released a brand spankin’ new trailer showcasing the first episode of the video games series, titled ‘A New Day’. The video game will be released in five chapters throughout the summer (keeping you at bay until the new season starts), the first of which landed today on PlayStation®Network, PC and Mac (soon to be on Xbox 360). Players will control Lee Everett, a convicted murderer, who has just been freed into a world filled with crawlers. And don’t worry, it’s got a rating of “M” so you know it’s going to be bloody. Check the trailer below and more details about the series.
The series is to focus on the darker side of “The Walking Dead” universe and allow players to explore the world to get a better feel for what the zombie-apocalypse world looks like for Rick and the gang. There will be appearances from your favorite characters throughout the series, and it tie into Kirkman’s comic book series. The first episode will sell for 400 Microsoft® Points on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, $4.99 on PlayStation Network and on PC and Mac (yes, finally a game for Mac!) as a season pass covering all five episodes for $24.99 from the Telltale Online Store and through Valve’s Steam service. It’s all pretty cheap, so it’s worth a look.
