Wrekin Hill Entertainment is acquiring North American rights to the found footage thriller Amber Alert, THR writes. Wrekin Hill will release the film day and date in theaters and via video-on-demand services this fall, the company announced on Wednesday. Trailer inside.
The film from writer-director Kerry Bellessa was co-written by Joshua Oram and stars Summer Bellessa, Chris Hill and Jasen Wade.
“‘Amber Alert’ follows friends Nate and Samantha, who stumble upon the car described in an Amber Alert while filming their audition video for a popular reality television show. With police slow to respond, the two friends fight to stop a possible child molester before it’s too late.”
Kerry and Summer Bellessa produced Amber Alert, along with Trevor Engelson.
