Amy Adams Heads To Horror In Grisly Sounding ‘Dark Places’

Writer/director Gilles Paquet-Brenner (Sarah’s Key) is circling Amy Adams (The Muppets, Catch Me If You Can) for the interesting sounding Dark Places, based on the novel by Gillian Flynn. I’ve always thought that Adams was an incredibly talented actress and it’s great to see her tackling something like this – she has a certain intensity that could really shine in this type of role.

Per Deadline, “Amy Adams is negotiating to star in a thriller based on Gillian Flynn’s critically acclaimed New York Times bestseller Dark Places.

In the film, “Adams will play Libby Day, a woman who, at seven-years old, survived the brutal massacre of her family and testified against her brother as the murderer. Twenty-five years later, the Kill Club, a secret-society obsessed with solving notorious crimes, bring her to question and confront the truth of what took place that day.

Is “Catch Me if You Van” that film from the 90’s starring Chris Farley? You know, that one where he lives in a certain oversized vehicle down by a river?

That would be amazing! Fixing the typo now, sadly

cool! i love Amy Adams and this sounds very interesting.

  • Yes! I LOVE it when A-Listers to horror! And I love Amy Adams, The Fighter showed me how good of an actress she is. With this and Jessica Chastain in Mama, I hope this trend continues so horror can become a sought after genre again.

I love Amy Adams. LOVE HER! That being said, this sounds awesome. Agree with HorrorGeek333, it’s always nice to see non-horror actors(especially good actors) tackle horror.
