More “Hoff”, Even More ‘Piranha 3DD’ In Trio Of Clips

Piranha 3DD

Dimension Films has provided Bloody Disgusting with a trio of clips from Piranha 3DD, the John Gulager-directed sequel arriving on VOD and in limited theaters June 1. It promises twice the terror and double the D’s

There’s something in the water… again. And this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.

Reteaming Gulager with Feast writers Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, the bloody sequel is jam-packed with stars including Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Meagan Tandy, Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, Clu Gulager, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Christopher Lloyd, Ving Rhames, Paul Scheer and even David Hasselhoff.

according to the majority of people over on IMDB who saw this (it opened in the UK last week) it’s HORRIBLE. it’s not even half as gory as the 1st movie, the “big” attack sequence at the end is very disappointing (not my words), people who you will expect to die in this don’t, etc etc etc. it’s only got a %14 positive rating on RottenTomatoes (whereas P3D has a %73). i’ll watch this on VOD maybe but i’m not going to spend $10-15 at the theater that is getting terrible reviews. i usually don’t go by ratings/reviews but in this case i will.

You should maybe go and see for yourself if it’s terrible instead of listening to OTHER PEOPLE’S OPINIONS. Seriously dude.

I’m still super excited for this no matter what others say.

MovieGeek you should maybe read my entire comment instead of the a word here and there. i said “i usually don’t go by ratings/reviews but in this case i will”. I don’t feel like spending $10 (or more) to see this movie. i’ll catch it on DVD, VOD or online. understand? seriously dude.

I actually did read your entire comment but it still it doesn’t change the fact you rather listen to someone else’s opinion on this rather than go and see for yourself if it’s terrible or not.

But hey if you’re willing to check it out on DVD and VOD, that’s cool I guess.

MovieGeek, i was iffy on this movie (yet hopeful it would turn out good!) ever since i learned Gulager was directing it. FEAST 2 & 3 are just abominations IMO. then when i saw the Hasselhoff clips and learned from some people who saw it that Gulager’s “unique” style of writing/directing was evident in P3DD (meaning his terrible style of jokes, his amateurish approach to horror movies, etc) i had already made up my mind to wait for the dvd/VOD. plus money is tight and i just can’t see spending the money on this 70 something minute movie. the reviews that i initially mentioned were just cemented what i had ALREADY decided to do with this movie. i definitely DO want to see this (no matter what people’s reviews are) i just will wait for DVD or VOD. :)

Understandable djblack. I’m a fan of the Feast films but I can see why the sequels aren’t everyone’s cup of tea.

I’ll see this but it will be one of the few films I see this year. It’s become too expensive to go to the movies anymore and the whole 3D gimmick/bullshit doesn’t help.
