If you liked The Divide, you’re in luck. Michael Biehn (Aliens, Terminator) is reteaming with that film’s director, Xavier Gens (Frontiers), for The Farm. It will be the first film in a three picture deal.
Per Variety, “Michael Biehn has joined forces with director Xavier Gens to produce three grindhouse films, launching the partnership with ‘The Farm.’ Pic is being produced by Jennifer Blanc Biehn, Michel Teicher and Avi Federgreen of Federgreen Entertainment/Indiecan Entertainment. Shooting is set to begin in early next year in Canada.”
The film, “centers on a veteran who returns to Texas and must fight his inner demons to save his farm not merely from a greedy corporation but also a horror that threatens to devour the American heartland.” Danielle Harris (Hatchet 2, Among Friends), Jennifer Blanc (The Victim), Michael Eklund (The Divide), Ivan Gonzalez (The Divide) and Courtney B. Vance (Final Destination 5) will star. Also announced under the deal are Up and Down, directed by Carlo Rizzo, and The Predicator, directed by Greg Morin.
Will they stick to the script this time or improv it like in The Divide?
