Twentieth Century Fox’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, the Timur Bekmambetov-directed historical retelling of our 16th President that was penned by up-and-coming genre madman Seth Grahame-Smith, hasn’t been stinging from a lack of promotion. And now we have a look at a Russian poster for the film. I have to wonder how this film will play in Russia – would we be as interested in a film about a centuries old foreign leader fighting vampires?
In theaters June 22, “Grahame-Smith’s revision of the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold history that shaped our nation. As a young boy, Abraham Lincoln witnesses the shocking death of his mother, leading him on a path to an ongoing war – and ultimately to the presidency – he chronicles in a hidden diary. The journal reveals the incredible story of a clandestine warrior who never stopped fighting for the country he led and the people he loved.”
Anthony Mackie, Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell, Robin McLeavy, Robin McLeavy, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jimmi Simpson and Alan Tudyk also star.
